Quinn was all done playing with micromachines, so he cleaned them up and brought the cars and little play city to me to be put away. When that was done, we figured out what toy he wanted next.
Me: Do you want Noah’s Ark?
Quinn: NO!
Me: Do you want the blocks?
Q: NO!
Me: Do you want the Duplo?
Q: NO!
Me: ….Do you want the little peg people?
Q: NO! De! (Yes).

This kids amazes me at how well he communicates. I wasn’t even talking about toys that he could see but he knew what each of them were and what he wanted. Now he’s playing happily with the peg people, driving them around in cars, making car noises, singing, and saying, “NO! No! no! NO!” :)

We’ve had a thunderstorm going on since this morning. Every time we hear a good roll of thunder, Quinn exclaims, “Hoo-hoo!” (whoo-hoo). A boy after his mommy’s heart! :)

And Aurora counting something in the bathroom: “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7…18, 16, 11, 28!...

Quinn’s lion lovey spent the morning being washed and I made the mistake of bringing lion out during lunchtime. Quinn refused to eat without lion being in his lap. I finally wrapped lion in a towel and gave up the fight. Now Quinn is “feeding” lion his lunch. *sigh*

This morning when Aurora came out of her room, Quinn ran up to her and gave her a hug. Then he ran away, turned around, ran back to her…and gave her a HUGE push! What? He kept pushing her until she pushed back (her restraint was admirable). Then he stopped. Some things big sisters can teach better than Mommy.
